Hi i have an hp pavilion dv9000t laptop , i connected it to a plasma tv through s-video , i went to my video card settings and did what i had to do to see my screen on the tv , it did work but the screen was full of moving lines i don't know how to explain it, and i couldn't see anything , can anyobody tell me what additional things i have to do?

Place it in presentation mode, usually FN then either F3 or F11 key. That places the screens image on the TV.

It could be a bent pin or a bad cable.

I would not suggest using S-video for connecting to a plasma screen. The plasma screen should have a VGA or DVI connection on it. Then you can get a VGA cable or a VGA to DVI cable to connect it for better picture quality.

I kinda have the same problem, my laptop screen won't show up on any of my TV's
