after losing all my work on my pc by not making A back up disc i now find that ive also lost my cd key for my office 2003 disc wot can i do ????

I have the coice of buying a Toshiba Satellite Notebook with Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2060 - Mist Gray
Model: A135-S2276 (Bestbuy.com)
now for the price of $549.99. or I can save up my money for a MacPro for about $1200. I like gaming and multitasking with word processor and internet and I also like using photo editing which one should I go with? Please if you know anything about computers which one would be the better deal and which would give me the quality I need? Tendencies for virus'?

Which one is actually better for gaming.....What I've read the GT has more speed, but less memory.....Which one is actually better? I always thought more memory is better, but I am being told speed is more important.

I have 2 computers in location A and standard pstn line ( NOT DSL LINE ) in location B .
location B is far from location A.
there is no computer in location B .
i want connect to the internet by dial up connection from location A .
i can use a wireless bridge between location A and location B.
i look for a device or any things that it can connect between my wireless bridge and standard pstn line . (it may be a dial up v.92 modem that it can connect to lan network ,or similar devices ) .
most of external dial up modems conneted to computer with USB port i look for external dial up modem that it can connect with ethernet port .
if you know such modem or device please advice me .

I am using a Quantex 19 in. monitor that has a usb port in the back of it.
Can that port be used the same as any other usb port or does it have some special application? I guess I have never noticed a monitor having a usb port before.

i used my windows xp media center disc that i had lieing around to try and use that and see if it resolved some of my issues. installed it and am using it now by one question i have it WHERE IS MEDIA CENTER, on my other pc's it right on the quick launch, not there, so i tryed program files not there, so i searched for it NOT THERE. Just brought a recent AMD computer having AMD live I was wondering how can I use this technology without buying additional hardware to connect. What does this technology do for a normal consumer like myself.

I was trying to find literature on the web but the AMD site talks about all this fancy stuff where I would have to end up purching more hardware to connect with my tv or other things before I can avail the tech to any use.

Some ellaboration and simple tricks with this wuold help also sites having some useful setup information pertaning to media center and this technology will be helpful

i want to install the best version of linux os that my pc will support. specs. 10gb hd 256 ram and currently xp. also when i install is it possible to do a fresh install and eliminate xp rather than partition? which linux os would you recommend and is a fresh install possible, also once i burn the os to disk how do i install or can i just get online and directly install or what is linux live? thank you for any help with this subject if there is something i missed that will be helpul it would be greatly appreciated!

I cant download anything ect because it says my e drive is full ?

This is on my LapTOp...there is NO 'Windows' Button on the Keyboard. I have tried 'dragging' it...it doesn't move..I can pull it's 'edge' to the middle of the Desktop...etc...I just want it down on the bottom where I'm used to it....etc. My regular PC is like that & it all seems to wrok fine that way. So, if anyone has a good solution...I'd sure appreciate it!..THANX GANG....u r all Terrific!!

I have tried to print documents and it will not go past the set up wizard. It prints the test past and then tells me to put that page in the scanner and hit the scan button..........then back at square one!! Any suggestions? It is new and i am ready to throw it out the window!!!
