I like gaming and multitasking with word processor and internet and I also like using photo editing which one should I go with? Please if you know anything about computers which one would be the better deal and which would give me the quality I need? Tendencies for virus'?

I own 2 Toshiba laptops. In actuality, I've had to use their GREAT warranty twice. Once for a malfunctioning HD and the other for a Bad battery. The HD problem was actually my fault, but it didn't matter to them (I accidentally had a very strong magnet in my pocket and it wiped the HD clean.).

I took it in at 8:30am and had it back by 2pm. No appointment. Still waiting for the dealer to mail me my new Battery, but it only went bad the other day.

As far as the MacPro goes, I'd personally get a Alienware laptop for a comprable price ($1200 or less), with many more features (Core2duo 2.56 Ghz, nVidia GeForce Graphics, 4 Gb RAM, 120 GB HD etc.)

Before the Mac fanboys jump in and scream about how good Mac's are, I want to get to the basics.

First off, if you are in it for gaming, I would not go Mac. Not only do most of the good games not run on Mac's, the others do not run very well.

But, the Toshiba laptop you are speaking of most likely does not have a good video adapter installed on it. So it will not play good games very well either.

If photo editing was the main use for the computer, I would suggest the Mac.

Viruses are generally not a big problem for Mac's as 90% of them are written specifically for Microsoft OS's.

If I were you, I would save up for a faster Toshiba laptop. One with a decent video card and more memory.

I would recommend the Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276. It has higher quality than a Mac, and it's a lot easier to use.
