The drivers should be mostly the same, but Dell mostly has proprietary setups (set up specific to them). Though you would be fine going to either place, Dell would have the drivers optimized for their particular machines and setups. Never use the drivers updates provided at Microsoft Updates as they provide generic drivers and do not work right all the time (I found out the hard way on that and downloaded from there and my machine crashed...was able to bring it back up again under limited video).

Dell, of course, gets the drivers from Nvidia ....
....but they will not post & support the latest driver until it has been fully tested by them for compatability issues with any other factory installed hardware or software on their PCs.
At times they (as do other large PC manufacturers) will make minor (but necessary) modifications to the driver versions.
I choose to download drivers from the PC manufacturer for that reason.
So long as they post it on their site they will & must provide support for the updates you install.
regards,
Philip T

nvidia, dell is just the brand for your computer.
you can download the driver installation program for your card here:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1526
(its not from the nvidia site, but it is the official nvidia driver for your card)

Google the specs of your specific make and sort of your man or woman laptop to work out the thank you to proceed. case in point, you will see if there is an suited enlargement slot for yet another video card, what sort slot you have - PCIe case in point and how lots ability the cardboard might require - might desire to effect in you having to alter your ability supply.
