I have a celeron D 356 processor, with a ECS P4M900T motherboard. The stock speed is 3.33Ghz. Right now I have it overclocked at 3.67Ghz. The temperature is only around 98 degrees. Has anyone ever overclocked this processpr before? What is the most you got it to? Can I safely take it to 4Ghz if the temperature stays normal and system is stable? The system is stable at 3.67Ghz.

I just bought 1gb of DDR 2 ram. It is suppose to be running at 533mhz. My motherboard, ECS P4M900T can support up to 667mhz ram. How can I get my RAM speed to 533mhz, like it is suppose to run? Is there a setting in BIOS to do this? I have a celeron d 356 processor that runs at 533mhz, so I want my RAM speed to match it.

I have the Nforce sound drivers installed under Device manager, yes cannot start a song on Windows Media Player, or the Nforce application, error message sez sound device may be in use by other application. When run the Direct X diagnostics, sez no sound drivers installed. I tried cdplayer.exe in a dos window on an Audio CD, and it the player plays the song, but still no output through the speakers. Don't know where to turn at this point, and Microsoft no longer supports Win98SE.

Kid played with keyboard and we thought keyboard was not functioning. But it does but like 2 seconds minimum for a keystroke. Went into Control Panel, adjusted keyboard settings but no luck. What could he have changed and how do we get back to normal. We've tried 3 keyboards... no problems with keyboards.

I just purchased my pc, it was running Vista on 512 Mbs DDR2 memory, I was told it wouldn't run right on 512, so I would need 1GB, so decided out right to get the 1GB instead of another 512, and would subsequently have 1.5GB(or something) more memory, and then wouldn't have to add another stick for awhile. After paying $73, and finding out it wouldn't work in my system with my factory default memory installed, what should I do? I will like to add I don't trust my computer manufacture, there costumer service is poor

I just bought a brand new Dell Latitude d800. It does not have an S-video port but down have a VGA in and VGA out port on the back.
There is also a CRT/LCD button using the Fn buttons of the laptop (I dont know what this is for...). How do i connect my laptop to my TV. My tv has 3 rca inputs (red, white and yellow) at the back. I have another larger tv that is HD compatible and that has USB, HD inputs and RCA inputs but I would really like to connect it to my smaller tv since that is mine.

I have 4 computers networked. 2 are custom, 2 are dells. The one dell 3000 has a celeron 2.4 with a 533 FSB. The manual states that the celeron using a default frequency of 266 (which would make sense 266x2=533). Dell recommends ddr400 or ddr333. If I am using a Celeron, does it matter if I use ddr266 -> seems like it is going to downclock it anyway. I think the ddr333 or ddr400 is really only necessary if it had a P4 533FSB or HT 800FSB.

The reason I ask is that I have a 1GB of PC3200 kit and a 1GB kit of pc2100 installed on a custom build AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (overclocked to 4300). I think I am better off swapping the slower memory out of one of my faster custom build PCs (AMD athlon 64 3700+) and installing the pc3200 on that.

The little dell does do well with it 512 MB now - has a Nvidia 5500 PCI 256 MB video card. I am just looking to tweak for some of the newer games like Civ 4 and BFME 2

I just bought a Dell Dimension E520. I would like to expand its cooling capability as much as possible? Any recommendations for aftermarket cooling on this pc without destroying the case? Also, what is a good CPU cooling system for the Core 2 Duo 6400? Thanks for the input

For eg, the fastest Core 2 Duo is something like E6800 2.66 Ghz where as the fastest Pentium 4 processor is 3.8 Ghz. Is this speed disparity b'cos of the 2 cores doing their job. In any case there are hardly any commercial applications that actually use both cores simultaneously, i mean there are no multi-threaded applications anyway..so whats the whole point in buying a Core 2 Duo computer ??
