Yes, and it is not very hard, or expensive, either. Here is what you will need:

1. A Barebook (This is a laptop case which includes the monitor, motherboard, keyboard, touchpad, etc. . . )

2. Laptop RAM

3. A Graphics Media Accelerator

4. A Processor (CPU). An OEM Version is preferred.

5. An Operating System (Microsoft Windows, or Linux)

The whole thing will cost you only about $300-500, and it is fun to do. I have built 2 laptop PC's and let me tell you, it passes the time : )

Of course but it costs more to buy the components outside of the laptop case.

Not really the best thing you could do is to "customise" one on a manufacturers website.
