Best computer on the Market is IBM, 2nd best being Lenovo (because it's made by IBM), then Toshiba, ... worst computers on the Market are Dells (they're pieces of junk), HP (you'll have software & hardware compatabilities / If you want new OS for the comp you have to buy software & hardware specifically made for HP else it won't work), Sony VAIO (you'll have trouble with anything you do with it, Sony installs a lot of extra unneeded software that constantly gets in your way) ... if you're looking to not spend too much I would suggest Lenovo or Toshiba (tho toshiba's have their fare share of complications, like randomly going to sleep while you're using them, or randomly closing documents while you're working on them) but if you're not too concerned about price ... I highly recommend IBM ... they're a bit pricey but WELL Worth the pretty penny you pay for them. I've knocked mine off my desk countless times have dropped it will moving around with it, and it's like a tank.

You shouldn't buy a Dell, whether you are looking for a laptop or desktop. Dell is horribly over-priced. I can buy a notebook from ALIENWARE, the gods of gaming, for less money than a Dell on the same setup, which quite frankly shocked me.

Definately Sony, I have 2 of them and they are great, no problems. I have friends with Dells and other companies such as Gateway and they have nothing but trouble. It is worth the extra money to get the Sony. Believe me it is worth it in the long run. You get what you pay for really applies here.

my boyfriend wanted the 'best' so bought a Dell - and has had more problems with it than i can remember. i've had my Sony Vaio for one month longer than he's had his Dell and never had even a minor problem with it. so i do recommend the Vaio by Sony (mine is 5 months old now) - they come in such pretty colours too!! :o)
