i have on my computer a small slot that says sd. Can you put a sandisk sd in this slot or do you need a usb tranferer to put data on a sandisk.i have these drives on my computer for removable disk E,F,G,H,I,J,K.

If your computer has a card reader then it should automatically detect and display it as a removable hard disk as soon as you insert a card in it

SD indicates a Secure Digital memory card where SanDisk any other SD card should work. USB card readers usually have multiple slots for different types of memory card and each will have a drive letter assigned.

those are for physically putting memory cards. Your sd will hold sd and sounds like you have several other alternatives as well for cards.

The slot IS for the sandisck. just pop it right in.
