can thumb drive be upgrade by soldering any part it's inner components

I'm sure that SOMEWHERE in this world someone has tried to do it. However, it cannot be done practically. There's just too many factors and in the end it would cost you more to upgrade it than to buy a new one. Sorry to say it :( Anyone who has done it is mostly doing it for experience (and some do it for the sick pleasure of finding out how things work, lol)

It would depend on the model of thumb drive as to if it had any empty pads for additional flash ram chips. Or if you could de sauder the flash RAM chip and install a larger compacity with identical pin outs. -This is however, completely theoretical, ;)

You can get a bigger storage thumb drive by shelling out only a few more dollars. So, why bother?
