you can donate them to the soldiers. when i was in iraq we had a vhs and we watched them all the time cause it was cheeper then buying movies on dvd that we would onloy watch a few times. Get with your local VFW and they will probably be able to send them downrange for you. We really do appreciate that stuff even though you would think why vhs's we do watch them

I have the same problem; I'm going to put your question in my watch list and see if anybody knows of a good idea. I probably have a hundred or so that are doing little more than collecting dust and taking up space!

i got myself a dvd writer, a set of cables and over the course of a week copied all of the ones that you cant buy on dvd, to dvd. all you can really do with them is either use them again (a bit inefcient, get a hd recorder or dvd recorder - much easier, better quality, cheaper in the long run etc), or melt them all down, make them into a statue and sell it to the council =p

Some libraries like the one we have in our town will take them to let people take out for free. It is really nice for those who cannot otherwise enjoy them.

If you place mortar between them you can build a guest room for your home. Dont feel bad, dvds will become obsolete too someday. It dosent pay to collect movies. But we all do it.
