To connect your Laptop to LCD TV see below the following steps-
1)Connect the VGA cable from Laptop to the LCD TV
2)Connect and secure the screws well .
3)Power on LCD and Laptop
4)Now in this step you will have to press two buttons simultaneously ,for laptops to connect to a LCD press the
Fn button & F5 or F7 on your Laptop and select Laptop and LCD option which will be a symbol
Note-Different Laptops use different Function keys for display for example in HP Fn+F5 will give a display to the LCD and Laptop .
If you still dont get the display follow the above steps for atleast 4 times .

you need to buy a cable from www.geeks.com or else use one of there gender changers on one of a cable if you already have a cable.
they have very good prices on stuff
Newegg to but you might pay a little (did not check this out but they have a very high reseller rating)
