I had a serious paper jam in my printer, but I got the majority of the paper out, but there is some still stuck through the part of the feeder that I can't get to. Do I have to take it to a shop or should I just feed another paper through and hope it catches it? This is my first printer...

I have a hp pavilion desktop a305w, i have just installed windows xp home edition. This desktop comes with the D:/ Recovery Drive that is supposed to hold only program files that you cannot delete but since i've installed windows xp, everything is being saved to the D:/ drive and im running out of space. I've tried deleting files off of the drive and it won't allow me. When i'm installing new things, it won't give me a chance to chose the drive i want. There is supposed to be recovery discs that came with the computer but i don't have them to restore it back. How can I disable the D:/ drive or change the main drive back to C:/ Pavilion. I would also like to find out how to delete unnecessary files off of that drive. We have contacted hp services and that can't seem to help us out at all.

I just bought this laptop a week ago. This problem occurred yesterday after the window suddenly crash. I cannot start windows XP in any mode, even safe mode. It will restart instead.

I have installed NFS Carbon recently,its not knowing tht i hav installed a Graphic card in my comp,If i open the game,a Blurred screen is appear with no actual graphic ,only Squares & rectangles are in the place of game,totally its not working properly.My gaphic card is Nvidia Geforce MX 4000,128mb memory,i have a RAM of 640mb.Please give me a right solution..

nothing really hight tech, just something where i can play good RTS games on and wont lag, and wont be outdated on 2 years. thanks

I just bought a new monitor and I am trying to extend my desktop across them both. I currently have an ATI 9700 AGP gfx card and tried installing a second card (an old Voodoo3 PCI) and running each monitor on its own card. I am having trouble with that, so now I am just considering buying a new card (Leadtek WinFast A7600GT probably) in hopes that it will solve my problems.

I just want to make sure I can run the dual monitors off that new card if I do purchase it.

Or if anybody has any recommendations on making the cards that I have now work? Computer recognizes them both, sets the AGP ATI card as primary and works on one monitor. But whenever I go to settings in my display controls and try to enable the 2nd monitor on the voodoo3, my computer freezes and crashes.

Earlier today I was cleaning the screen of my gigabeat,so I took off the front casing of it, and cleaned all the dust and what not. However when I closed the front casing of the gigabeat back again, the songs and everything else worked perfectly, but the screen didn't illuminate or anything.If I hold it up to really bright light I can kind of see the screen, but I think that in the process of opening it up, I may have accidentally done something with the backlight.The lights on the side light up blue, but the display screen, doesn't light up at all.I know that everything else is in fine and working order, but what do I do with the screen?Should I try and fix it myself or take it to a best buy or circuit city for them to check it out and possibly fix?

My laptop (inspiron running XP) does not recognize the audio device anymore. This happened suddenly as everything was working fine before. The weird thing though is that i can listen to music and sound from movies from winamp and windows media player BUT I can no longer hear any songs from firefox ( when using Youtube etc...). What should I do? It's clear that the audio device itself is fine. Thanks

Earlier today my computer speakers were working just fine but later on when i went back on to play music and watch some videos there was no sound. I checked the volume of the speakers and it was fine. Also the speakers are plugged in where there supposed to be. I don't know whats wrong with them. Please help me!

My HP ze2000 has only 348mb of RAM which i hear is pretty low, so how will i benefit from upgrading RAM on it to, say 2gb??? Will i notice a difference??

I am interested in this because i want the new windows vista but my RAM is to low to use AERO GLASS.

Right, so I have this aquaintance that SWEARS that her laptop has 20 gig ram. 20 gig! so, i start doing some looking {i just 2 daysa go purchased a desktop with 2 gig ram} and i cant find anything bigger than 2 gig. Except customs like alienware... am i missing something??? oh, and she thought that centrino duo was what made it a 20 gig.. personally i think shes just completely mistaken....???

My CD player on my laptop is no longer burning CD's, it will play CD's/DVD's and rip music but I can't burn to CD's anymore. If I need to replace my burner what is the best? If it is a software issue what am I doing wrong? I have a HP Pavillion laptop if that helps.
