I deleted some software on my computer by accident. Waht drives or whatever do i need to download to get sound back. If anyone has a link they can provide that would be extra helpful. Thanks in advance.

since you didnt say what kind of computer is who knows

go to the manufactures web site or use the disc that came with the computer

The easiest way would be to do system restore. If you have Windows XP, then you just go to
Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore.
Choose Restore my computer to an earlier time. Depending on how your computer is set up, you should have a "system checkpoint" every day. Just choose the most recent day you are sure it was working and click on the restore point on it. Then click next and it starts to restore soon. The only downside is that you have to redo most installations of games/software and system changes since that day. I have had sound problems after installing a corrupted game (as in files messed up), but this resolved it. I also suggest that if you don't, you should choose create a system restore point before and after system-wide changes like major installations.To do that, just choose Create a restore point in the System Restore options. Name it whatever you want. By the way, Geek Squad is an unnecessary waste of money for something as simple as this.
