generally all laptops that are new have built in wifi cards.. and if there is already wireless conections in the house you do not need to buy a router.... also it is not nessesary for the purchase of the laptop

things to check...

1. the laptop comes with a wifi card already, if you dont know how to check, ask someone at a store.

2. you have a "Wireless router" in your home already

Most new laptops come with a wireless card installed. This will work with the wireless connection in the house (i am assuming this is from a wireless access point on your broadband modem, if not from a wireless router attached to it.)

Look up "Sonlight" and ask them to send you a free catalogue. You do not have to buy their program, but you can see all the little bits and buy what you like. We liked Horizons math (but skip the teachers guide, just get the workbooks) Easy Writing and Easy Grammar. Sequential Spelling is supposed to be great. You just cobble together what ever you like. I could never get into the "curriculum in a box" thing. I want to teach what I want to teach. Some people don't use any curriculum at all. Depends what you want and what works for your kids. Research "unschooling", they use the world as a classroom. I think it's great for bright, motivated kids.

Not really, the laptop should have a card built in to it to pick up WiFi signals.
