You can also check the price of memory @:

www.crucial.com.

Check with HP first to see the max you can put in your laptop.

Increasing the amount of RAM in a computer is the cheapest way to greatly improve the performance of the computer. However, being a laptop, it is usually limited in how much and what type of memory can be added. Go to the HP web site and look up the model number. It will tell you what options you have memory wish with you laptop. Due to its age, you may be limited to 1 gig max of memory.

Note that laptop memory is often unique to the model, so you may have to purchase the memory from HP. Again, check their website for prices. (Laptop memory is usually double the price of desktop memory).

workstation, compared to pcs, will be confusing to improve. in accordance to how the workstation grow to be setup on the time of purchase. From the fast assistance it is given through you i am going to assume that your workstation grow to be no longer maxed out at the same time as offered, exceptionally because you aspect out that your RAM is two.00 GiB. Your workstation optimal RAM is 8 GiB. i'd initiate with upgrading the RAM first to eight GiB. There are 2 memory slots on your workstation so that you'll want to purchase 2 4 GiB DDR2 workstation memory sticks. the reason that in trouble-free terms a million.seventy 4 GiB of the put in RAM on your workstation is usableis that the video on your workstation is integrated video quite than a workstation video card. integrated video makes use of the computer memory. i don't understand in the adventure that your workstation is able to upgrading to a workstation image card with its personal video memory, yet no matter if it is i'd evaluate figuring out to purchase a video memory card. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you improve equipment memory to eight GiB then dismiss the video improve. you do not aspect out the size of your hardcontinual, besides the undeniable fact that the internet source (a) i found shows that your hardcontinual will be a 320 Gib length. workstation pcs have a spindle % of 4400 rpm. the swifter the spindle % of thecontinual the more beneficial battery potential is needed. at the same time as the workstation is plugged into the AC outlet this isn't a situation. yet once you employ the workstation in transportable mode the better % of the hardcontinual will ddepleteyou battery a lot swifter. in case you are able to discover the money for a SSD hardcontinual (SSD = solid state disk) you'll be in a position to enhance battery existence because this kind ofcontinual has no transferring elements. besides the undeniable fact that the better means SSD troublesome drives are expensive. in case you improve to a SSD hardcontinual i advise a minimum of a 128 GiB length for starters.

you will notice a difference, you can load more applications, they will load quicker, b/c they are not being swapped in the "fake" memory that is being served by your harddrive etc..
