just go to Best buy and get one. Do not do mail order in case their is a problem. Read your local ads in the paper. Make sure you get one that can take an air card if you want to use it for internet access.

visit www.techbargains.com daily for this info. Theydo all of my legwork as a PC buyer. Dell had a good one for about 600 last week. It had a dual core Turion and a 15 inch screen. I found it on techbargains. Good luck.

ASUS Eee Pc!! they are awsome!... and so tiny :) and they are less than $500, they can do everything the same as a normal laptop but u have to buy a SD card, portable hard drive or flash drive for it. it has a 7' screen (soon 9') and it weighs less than a 1kg.....

Take a look at Acer and Toshiba products... they are pretty reliable and well priced... I would start at tigerdirect and newegg.com... I have found some outrageous prices and sales there... good luck...

Search for 1GB ram, 15.4" screen and 80GB hard drive. You should be well under $800, then upgrade everything else you want.
I just made one using the 6000z as a starter, then added extra features.

well you can go to wallmart.com i saw a labtop for $698.00 it is 15.59'' x 5.47'' x 13.11'' the modle number is AS5610-2328 and the wallmart number is 000572554 if you go on wallmart.com you can find it i think and there is also alot more labtops to choose from also.
