Hi, we have the internet at my workplace, I want to get the service to a computer lab, the lab computer should be able to the share the folders and printers on the LAB network, this is working already, now; I need to get the internet to the lab from the main network ( OFFICE) with no access to OFFICE's folders, can I do that without a server or a domain controller, with a switch only? I tried to use 2 ethernet cards on a computer so it gets the service from OFFICE and applies it to the LAB switch, but I had a problem with addressing them, can anyone help me???

OFFICE IP range starts with192.168.0.1
LAB IP range starts with 192.168.1.1

i am currently with aol - with whom i have had no issues with - until now.........they have or are in the middle of selling out the uk side of aol to the carphone warehouse - or one of their subsidiary ,
my main concern is that they introduced talk talk, yeah great response, thats exactly what i thought - now aol say my service should not be affected , i currently pay £24.99 a month for my broadband- but surely i could receive just as good a service from the carphone warehouse talk talk broadband which is free* or so they tell us - or which broadband company do you think i should go with - i have no cable only a bt phone line - i hope someone can help

I have a dell computer with windows pro. I also have a dial-up connection. (dsl not available in the sticks) Sometimes while in the middle of something I will click on anything and my computer will shut down and restart all by itself. Do not necessarily have to be on the net. Can anyone help me?

Due to big walls, my wireless does not reach all parts of my appartment. I have 2 wireless routers and would like to know if possible and how to arrange that one router picks up the signal of the other that is connected to the internet and spreads this further. Both routers are D-Link DI-624+.

All linksys btw. The computer I hooked up in an upstairs bedroom says it's hooked into the network I have set up fine. Good signal. But, it can't see any other computers, no other computers can see it. I've set the drives to sharing. For that matter, it won't pick up on the internet connection like the other computers do. Any tips on what to check?

Like my question says, which router and notebook adapter set would be better for wireless networking, at far ranges, without getting disconnected often? Would Wireless-B (802.11b) or Wireless-G (802.11g) be better? Because I have a Wireless-B notebook adapter and router, and even if I'm right beside the router with my laptop and wireless card, I still have no connection! That's SAD!! So, if anyone can solvemy problem or recommend something for this, please do, thanks.

i have a toshiba satellite pro 4600 that had windows 98se installed on it, then i updated it to xp sp2. Everything worked fine except the wifi. I installed the latest drivers for the toshiba wireless lan mini pci card, but still no connecting. It said "Limited or no connectivity".
I then went into the internet protocall setup and manually entered the ip adderss and gateway. It then connected to the router, but no packets were received.
is it not receiveing a dhcp?

Thanks
