I need a program that is free like the one that comes on xp (zero config) that i can search for a access point and connect. im running 98se and the belkin program that came with it isnt letting me set up my wpa up right.
i want a downloadable program

Hey there,
The driver for the wireless card is your best bet. They ALWAYS come with a utility that can set-up your wireless connection.
Look on the cd or goto the belkin web site to look for an update to the driver or program.
What are you trying to do? WPA and WPA2 are standard.
The only problems I have had with wireless have to do with cross hardware setups. Linksys routers with belkin cards don't always work right.
