The strength of the signal from the router. Normally, the farther away the less the signal you get.

They just tell you how good your connection is. If it's excellent, you're unlikely to encounter problems with uploading/downloading things from the internet, and the connection to the internet is strong.
If it's a weak connection, it's quite likely that if something gets between you and the computer it, someone walks in front of the signal for example, the connection might break. hence it's not advisable to upload/download/do anything that requires constatnt internet connection

it is indicating whether or not u have a good connection with your router, if it is low it could be that the router is not close enough to your comp or that the signal can not reach through walls or floors etc if your connection goes you will be automatically signed off msn and things like that. :):):)

ensure your router isn't too on the edge of the different electric source that is draining the sign, its little need changing the aerial that could make no distinction to the sign power, most of the hot routers on the industry do have a sign booster equipped in yet I easily have not seen one provided for my section. ken_t
