click on start---> run-----> type cmd----> hit enter.
A black window will open
type the following
ipconfig /renew then hit enter.
make sure there is a space where i put it.

your pc should get a new IP address. Assuming everything else is ok.

In command prompt type ipconfig /release all ips become 0.0.0.0 and then type ipconfig /renew to allow automatic ip assignment. if it still doesnt work then go to start>programs>accessories>communications>network connections and choose the connection wch u want to use. right clk on it and clk on properties. then in general tab double clk on t TCP/IP and provide ip wch is provided by ur ISP ..or ur own (192.168. X.X) if u r on LAN...hope it will help

IPCONFIG only tells you what the computer sees as your ip address. You need to set up the connection to the internet in your network settings. If its wireless, then you have to set up a wireless network setup. Your router has to be setup to the internet and connected to a connection on your compter. Firewalls need to be set correctly to allow the internet to feed through the firewall.

Click on the connection icon (your wireless connection) in the system try on the bottom right corner.

Click on properties.

Click on Internet Protocol in the end of the list, and click on properties.

Set the option to "Obtain an IP address automatically"

Click OK, OK, OK.

Then try it.
