I habe a SB4200 SURFboard cable modem and the activity light (orange ) is always blinking. Is this normal? We have it hooked up to a D-link DI-624 router.

I am trying to move files back and forth between my work (host) computer and my home (remote) computer. Is this possible using Window's Remote Desktop Connection? If so how? I have Windows XP home for the remote computer and Windows XP Pro for the host computer.

I need to set up a virtual classroom that will house 8 local PC's in one room. Students from all over the country would remotley access one of the local PC's and the instructor would be able to view the progress of each student while they are connected.

I just put a used dell power connect 2016 at my home.

I inherited a catalyst 2948 switch and have the saved config with the encrypted password. Is there a way to devine the password from this? I know there are tools to do this for Cisco IOS - but can't find one for CatOS. Thanks.

how are people, besides your friends, supposed to know that you have a web page? what's the purpose of having one? do you make money when someone views your page? why are people interested in how many HITS they get on their web sight? please still need help how come whenever i try viewing a clip or video it plays super super fast on my windows 98 second edition computer and it plays through windows media player 9 but i can't understand any of the words and video finishes in a matter of seconds because it plays it so fast. 2 Earlier answers weren't helpful. I will really and truly appreciate it if someone can help me resolve this problem.

iv ordered an wireless modem from AOL, its, Thomson SpeedTouch 576,
every thing with it came complete, but i had 1 problem, i cannot install it on to my comp (desktop).
i trid to install the it on my laptop, and its ok, but i cannot move around with it...,

iv spoke to AOL 5 times now and they just gave me a links to other sites to download the software that i have already got with the wireless modem,

the error says that: "error: connection could not be established with the remote host.

the modem router has not been detected. check your cables are connected correctly." <<< i have checked the cables 100s of times, and they are ok...

i will b so happy if u will b able to help me.

In most African countries, most of the mobile phone companies do not cover the whole country. For most people, the solution is to carry two or three chips around, but it is inconvenient opening up your phone and changing the chip every time you are out of "coverage area". Imagine having a phone which automatically switches from one network to another as an when required... and i am not talking about exorbitant "Roaming" facilities.
