There is something with these Recruiters that is inherently anathemic. I have had a lot of hit counts but then they are always trying to match one up with non-conformable positions. I guess that's sales; catch the bait and get the fillet for them.
Also I notice that a lot of IT folks are posting their resumes and asking for lower pay, so I am assuming there is saturation/economic slowdown/inflation or sthing. The employers, my conjecture is, would hire the "more experienced" ones for the reduced rates. Any one have a forecast-notwithstanding the impossibility of pre-determination-as to how the IT field might look say 7 years from now?

Six weeks is not a lot of time for job hunting. However, your skillset is slightly out-of-date. You may want to consider entering a training program and taking some part-time work. Otherwise, you will need to get a career counselor or coach to assist you in better constructing your search...and possibly a better resume to go with it. Don't get frustrated too soon...and you may want to expand the phsyical location of potential work. Good luck!

keep trying is my best suggestion, or spend your c.v. to companies that are not looking for staff, just explaining your interest in joining there company and why they should employ u.
i would call up these companies and say that you send your cv to them just to ask them if they go to it and whats happening etc.
