I would like to connect to laptops by their wireless cards, similar to connection with ethernet cable, to share files between them. Is this possible, if so, how do I do that, I've read that is similar to ethernet way, but. how could one laptop dedect the other one, I have no router

just like with an ethernet cable you need a main station, otherwise a source where the computers can meet. then when it says searching for wireless etworks in range on that computer button click set up a wireless network and follow the steps from there. don't worry it just sounds complicated, but they really just tell you what to do.
