I went to visit my parents and I borrowed my father's Honda minivan. As I was adjusting the seat and mirrors, I noticed the moon roof was open, which it turns out my Dad had left it open from earlier in the day when he got back from golfing. And there had been a quick downpour between then and when I got in. Now the signal lights do not work, and neither do the power door locks. I opened the passenger and driver's side fuse boxes, and the corresponding fuses seem to be intact, but I noticed when i opened the box on the driver's side there were a few water droplets.... could it be water damage, and if so, is it easily repaired or is the dealership going to ding my father with a huge labor bill?

I had a coolant flush done, new hoses put on, and new dex cool antifreeze put in. Now it's black.
Is it possible the mechanic did not do a proper flush, or is there oil leaking in from somewhere? The car is a 96 Olds Ciera.

My friend tells me he needs a "throttle belt"/"acceleration belt" for his 1991 Mercury Cougar. I don't know what this is and all searches have yielded no results. If someone could help me with what exactly I'm looking for, and maybe a place to find the part, it would be greatly appreciated.

Have a Ford Focus that is leaking power steering fluid. The "boot" on the rack is torn, was wondering if this is the cause of the leak or is the boot only a dust cover.. Is there a seal inside that is causing the leak?

my driver's seat window was open when it rained yesterday. last night i cupped water out of my car. it took a long time. there was like two inches of water on the whole floorboard. i plan on taking it to a vaccuum place so i can suction the water out. there's a lot of water still! i didn't do it earlier. i should have. so i have to go clean up this big disaster. got any other ideas? or tips. or anything.
aside from closing the window before or when it rains.

If I'm driving and I turn -while- I'm accelerating I get a somewhat bad vibration from my front end. I was told it was the CV joint or wheel bearings. I noticed a bit of grease built up on the outer boot (farthest from the tire). Question is, since there is grease, is it most likely the CV joint causing the problem? If so, what would the total cost to repair this run? Ballpark is fine. Also, no clicking or any sort of sound while I am turning. Mainly happens at higher speeds (30mph+)

My Truck was recently vandalized by a lot of stickers being placed on it. I got the sticker part off fairly easily, now I just need some advice on how to remove the sticker residue without hurting the paint...oh yeah, and the Oklahoma heat has pretty much bonded the residue on there...seems hopeless.... P.S. I bought the 2007 truck just 5 days before it happend!

When I turn left I have a slight squeal in my left wheel somewhere. It does it when no brake is applied. It also does it just the same with the slightest steer left. Any thoughts?

Are there any good auto repair websites for US cars that feature a lot of diagrams and how to information? Perhaps sites that detail specific cars and engines with diagrams like a paper shop manual?

Thanks.

When i bought the Lincoln Continental they didn't work. I find it unlikely that someone would take them off, so they must still be there. And even more unlikely is that both are completely dead. So is there something i´m missing... a switch or a child lock or something? How can i fix this?

Basically, I have a 1995 BMW 318i and recently the engine cannot idle whatsoever. When I come to a stop, the engine idles at around 1,000 RPMs (where it should be) but that is only for a mere second or so before the RPMs die completely and so does the engine. So I'm forced to maintain those RPMs by myself (i.e. pressing the gas pedal) and then acceleration is a problem up until the engine passes 1,500 RPMs. From there on, the engine doesn't die but if the RPMs fall to 1,000 again then in a few seconds the engine dies. Also, when the RPMs are low and the engine is right about to die the car's exhaust gets funny (the exhaust tip vibrates abnormally and it sounds like its clogged or something). At any rate, I replaced the muffler in an effort to solve the problem since it had a hole. It did fix anything. Furthermore, my mechanic has told me that car's computer is malfunctioning and you need to replace it or just the sensors. Anyways, does anybody have any idea what's causing this? Thanks!

Hi -- I usually carpool to work, but I had to take my husband's Toyota 4-Runner today. That thing is usually parked. It's only had 2,000 miles since the last oil change, but that was like in November, and we live in a climate where there are freezing temps in the winter.

Well, everytime I was in idle (stop lights), the truck died. I only live just over a mile away from work, so I made it, but obviously something is wrong. The oil pressure read low (but not bottomed out). The temp gauge ran high (but not topped out).

I'm thinking the radiator might be low & planning to put a gallon of water or so in it after work. Then I will drive straight to an oil-change place to get the oil changed. Do you think that will solve the problem or is there something more serious that I should be thinking about?

The 4-Runner is a 1991 with 110,000 miles on it. My husband bought it when he had a job that required a closed-in cargo bay and four seats big enough to hold grown men, but we hardly use it.

I have a 07 Pontiac G6, and I wanted to know an inexpensive (less than $100) way to make my car sound louder through the muffler like a motorcycle or a race car. What do I need to do?

I was driving a friend's car, and it was struck by a rock cracking the windshield. It definitely needs to be replaced.

Going through my insurance is not an option, and I would like to have it replaced ASAP.

A Honda dealership quoted me $1500 for parts and labor. I ran the same quote through Safelite Autoglass, and the price (including labor) was around $250. A customer service rep at Safelite said that they made their own glass and that it comes with a national warrenty.

#1 - Am I missing something or is the dealership just charging that much because they are a dealer?

#2 - If my friend insists on using Honda-only parts, should I try and talk him out of it to save myself the $1200 difference or just accept the blame, pay the money, and be done with it?
