ABS is for Antilock Brake System. It is usually on for one of three reasons. When the car first starts for about 3-5 seconds to show that the light does work. Will come on or flash for a second when it kicks in. Or it will stay on all the time if there is a problem with it.

If it's the third reason, best to see a mechanic.

its telling you there is a problem with the abs system, could be a very simple wiring issue with a sensor, or it could be as bad as an abs module ($$$)... either way, it needs to be plugged into a scanner/code reader to know exactly what part triggered the code... a dealer will charge an hour of labor to do this. some parts stores will loan the scanner, some will scan for you for free.

it is your anti-lock braking system check light. If it is staying on while driving than you need to have your braking system checked as soon as possible.

Could be a bad sensor. Take it to a mechanic or the car dealership.

Anti-lock brakes. Not sure how you fix it though.
