I need to remove some adhesive tape from the door of my Blazer. The tape did hold some molding in place. What is the best and cheapest way to remove? I need to sand and primer this door.

I just filled up my tank at a local mobil station. My gas light was not even on yet, but I knew it was about to. I drive a honda civic, and the tank holds 13.2 gallons according to the manual. Accroding to the pump and my receipt I just put in 13.37 gallons of gas!. How is this possible?!?!

I was in walmart looking for a fram oil filter for my 2003 CTS. It was not in the book or the electronic look up thing. Is this a special part? or does fram just not make one? and how do I get an oil filter so that I can change my oil?

I drive a 2003 Taurus Wagon. It has 83000 miles. I see a lot of marketing for high mileage oil for my car. Is it truly better? With so many brands of oil to choose from, how can I decide? What brand should I use, and why? What about synthetic, is that a good option? I heard that using synthetic can cause a leak because it can tear away a seal or something like that.

Also, should I use 10w30, or what? I know nothing about cars, but I want to make informed decisions. I want to get a good oil for my car, but I don't want to waste money on "high mileage" if it really isn't any different. Can someone please clarify this for me. Thanks

Its what appears to be oil slick from the interstate on the side of my car. I took it immediately to the car wash, but no amount of scrubbing or spraying would get it all off. Is there something I can use to get it off?

My stepson left his radiator cap off. I went to use his car and the low coolant light was on and when i was filling it up it was just running out somewhere from the bottom. The radiator cap was left off. Did this hurt the car?

I am a new car owner and have some questions regarding parking.

1) If the wheels are not streight when the car is parked, does it affect the wheel alignment?
2) If the car is parked such that the left and right sides of the car are not at the same level (slanted) does it do any harm?

I recently had my car damaged in one of our Texas storms. It caused about $4000 in damage to the entire left side, hood, and both bumpers, and knocked out two windows. I just got my car back from the "insurance suggested" body shop and I can still see where many of the rock marks were painted over. There are divets in the paint in a lot of spots, which is better than the metal that was showing before, but not how I want it. My question is, shouldn't they have completely sanded down the areas of the car that needed to be repainted instead of just painting over the paint nicks? The car is a 2006 Mustang that is practically brand new. Maybe I am wrong, but shouldn't the insurance company be fixing the car to the PERFECT condition it was in before it was damaged?

Shortly after I bought my long-saved-for first car (a Renault Clio 3 door) last summer, someone hit it while it was parked in a car park and cracked one of the plastic panels of the bodywork. It is the side segment on the driver's side, between the door and the bumber - I think that is called the wing?
I would like to repair it, but can't afford to take it to a garage (as it is just cosmetic damage.)
If I could track down a spare, would I be able to replace it myself? I have no mechanical knowledge, but don't mind getting my hands dirty!
How much would a spare cost, and how would I go about fitting it?
Any advice appreciated, thanks!

I have just recently moved and am now doing a long motorway commute to work everyday, after a couple of months my oil tank is empty, I think i am going through about a litre a month. I don't think I have a leak. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a smart car doing higher mileage? Or should I be visiting my local garage.... thanks!

I was having stalling problems with my '94 S10 Blazer (4.3L engine). Everything I read suggested my fuel pressure regulator was leaking. Upon removing the plenum I discovered one of my fuel control lines was leaking. I replaced both the regulator and the fuel lines. Instead of my truck starting up and purring nicely, I took everything apart to make sure I assembled everything correctly (everything looked fine). I can see the fuel lines filling up when I turn the fuel pump on. I also removed the regulator during checkout and found gas there (which tells me the gas got that far). Is there anything I'm missing in terms of checkout? My next step is to tow the car to a garage and spend ALOT of money to get this fixed. I'm hoping has some ideas.
Cheers!

I own a 95 accord and the engine temperature gage is broken so I am scared of overheating. I recently filled the reserve readiator tank with coolant however when I checked the coolant reserve tank the next day it was back to being low. I'm a delivery driver and while my car was parked I saw liquid coming out from under the car. What is my problem here?

My car went dead today because I left the lights on accidentally. I had to get it jumped.

It SEEMS to be fine now, but the "door open" beeper WON'T go off. It "beep beep beeps" when I'm driving, when the car is off, etc.

It's NOT the car doors because the "door open" logo doesn't light up. I re-closed them all anyway, along with the trunk, the hood, etc. No dice.

What can I do?

Thanks!

I've done many brake jobs, but today I was helping a friend with his Toyota Tundra and it has 4 piston calipers and I've never encountered such a thing. also, let me know if you need a special tool.
