on a 2.4 l 5 speed, what do you tach it out to when shifting gears?

You can run this engine up to about 6000 rpm. It's pretty tough, but everything will last longer if you stay about 3500.

Probably 4-5 thousand RPMs.

are you looking for fuel econ. shift at 3000. i would not go over 5500 though.
