The hubcap is not broken and neither are any of the little prongs. But I noticed that on the other hubcaps, there is a gold sort of innner ring. Maybe that fell off too? How can I get my hubcap back on tightly? Get another inner ring? Where would I find that? And I don't want to use glue

Ok so a few weeks ago my grandpa reached through the window to unlock the door because he didnt have a key (it was down far enough that he reached in easily) and now the alarm goes off whenever you lock the door.

She locks the door, and about 15 or 20 minutes later the alarm goes off until you unlock the door. She has been doing it over and over to watch and see if anyone is touching it, but nobody is around and it just keeps going off, but not until at least 15 minutes later. If she leaves the door unlocked, it never goes off at all.

However, we live in a downtown area and if she leaves it unlocked (its a nice car) chances are its going to get stolen soon.

Anyone know why this is happening or how to stop it?

I had the radiator replaced and the mechanic then discovered cracked head gaskets and a few other things so I was wondering how much (average) I will be charged for them to fit a re-conditioned engine and if after that anything else would need doing?

I normally stick with the factory brand or Mobil one. Bmw recommends oil changes every 15K with full synthetic oil. However, since I change the oil more often, say every 7,500 miles.....will this oil be a good choice too? The price on this one is a good deal when purchased as a gallon.

I'm thinking all synthetic oil brand's are all similar. I change the oil very often since I drive a lot, about 30K miles per year. With all the frequent changes, I thought saving a little money is not a bad idea. This is for a 2006 325i.

I have a 72 240Z that will only start when cold. It will not start warm. So if, for example, I parked & went into the grocery store for a while, when I come out the car won't start. I literally have to go kill a few hours, then try. At that point, the car will start. WTF?

Ok, so I drive along at 70 mph and for 5 seconds...smooth ride, then, for 5 seconds the car shudders, then smooth, then shudder, (repeat untill end of journey).

Don't think it's the tyres, as it would shudder all the time.

Any thoughts?

If more info required I am happy to enter a dialogue, as it is worrying me.

Thanks.

Is a 94 Chevy K1500 Silverado with 180,000 miles worth spending 1500 to 2000 dollars if I'm planning on getting a new vehicle soon? Are trucks worth anything if they dont run? Scrap parts?

I have an 88 Honda Accord and I leak power steering fluid a little. I pushed my finger through the silver foil of a new bottle and didn't realize I pushed it all the way into the bottle. When I went to pour it into my power steering the foil thingy slid right into the power steering resevoir before I had a chance to grab it.

Is this going to cause a blockage or other damage? Do I need to take it to a shop or try to fish it out?

Thanks for the answers...

I have a 1986 Chrysler LeBaron and it normally runs just great, but today I installed a 180 degree thermostat in it, as the old thermostat stopped working and the car was running too hot.

However, when I removed the old thermostat, I noted that it was a 195 degree type, and I fgured that there could be no harm in having it open at 180 in the heat of Summer, so I installed the new 180 degree unit since I had already bought it.

When I tested the car shortly afterwards after the installation of the new thermostat and fresh coolant, the car seemed to run rough for no reason other than I think it might be that the thermostat is opening too quickly.

Am I right or not? Could it be the thermostat is wrong in this case and causing the car to run rough?

I was wondering if i disconnected all but one of his spark plugs so his car was really slow and weak would it damage it in any way? I want to be able to just connect them again and have it work fine. Its like a 93 volvo. Also if u have a better suggestion that leave no permanant damage let me no.
