With few exceptions the questions here have been made in good faith. It surely did not seen pointless or stupid to the person asking it. How are you going to learn if you don't ask?
A better question for you to ask maybe: Why do other people give smart a-- answers that are just as or more stupid or downright mean? I am pretty sure that most of the questions weren't looking for that kind of answer at all.

i was raised always hearing that there is no such thing as a stupid question, cause how are you supposed to learn if you don't ask questions. but now i am going to have to change my whole outlook on life because i never heard a stupid question until now. and i'm sad that i wasted these few minuets of my life to tell you that. i think you just made the whole world a little stupider.

people will always ask questions is human nature unless u ask ull never know.i train people at work and i tell them the only stupid question is the one u dont ask.word
