The hubcap is not broken and neither are any of the little prongs. But I noticed that on the other hubcaps, there is a gold sort of innner ring. Maybe that fell off too? How can I get my hubcap back on tightly? Get another inner ring? Where would I find that? And I don't want to use glue

And I tried tapping it with a hammer. It seems like the hubcap does not fit properly without the inner ring

I've gotten caps on ebay for a few bucks. You don't need a good one. You can just take the ring off an old one to fix yours.

Get a new on or 4 it will save you worry in the long run...like jumping fences and wading creeks to get it back.

did you rotate the hub cap to line up the valve stem with the hole provided for it?
if so, do as the above poster said, and go to a wrecking yard.
