Maybe a little but you would probably be better off upgrading to a aluminum racing radiator. if the water flows through the motor and radiator to fast it actually doesn't transfer the heat as well.

before buying a high flow pump u should try backflushing the radiator.refill with water and antifreeze half and half.now if your pump is about to go out usually u will see a water drip comming from the bottom of the pump itself.if its an older type of car or truck then it could be the fan clutch not engaging. If its an electric fan it may not be turning on when the engine reaches a certain temp.check for blown fuses or wire connections.lastly replace electric fan or centrifugal fan clutch on an older model of vehicle. i shouldnt have to tell to make sure that your radiator is full of water.and that u already visually check it yourself before attempting any of the above.when your engine is cool loosen the radiator cap.check the water level.sometimes even if your radiator water reservoir shows a level. It dont necessarily mean that your radiator has any water becouse if theres a hose leak or radiator leak thatll prevent the radiator sysem from forming a vaccum when it needs more water. Therefore it wont draw any water from the outside water reservoir and it would look like its full of water when in reallity the radiator is empty.

Try the less expensive suggested changes first. Water Wetter and switch back to a water pump driven thermostatic clutch fan. Be sure the fan blades come as close to the radiator shroud as possible 1/4 - 1/2 inch. Be sure the fan blades are a minimum of half way inside the shroud also. if not pick up a spacer through Howe Racing.
Howe, Griffin and Art's have excellent replacement aluminum radiators which will drop your temps considerably.
Performance Bodies. com has a full line of Stewart Aluminum racing water pumps which actually pressurize your heads and block better than general auto store or factory replacements.

The radiator certainly holds the water/coolant and the pump circulates the aggregate for the duration of the engine. Upon returning to the radiator, the water is cooled from air passing for the duration of the fins of the radiator. The pumps interest is to flow the aggregate to verify that the nice and cozy water to chill out subsequently, the engine is then cooled.

maybe the electric fan isn't big enough to do the job, add a bottle of water wetter to the radiator, it should drop the temp about 10 degrees, you can get it at summit racing.
