Are there any good auto repair websites for US cars that feature a lot of diagrams and how to information? Perhaps sites that detail specific cars and engines with diagrams like a paper shop manual?

Thanks.

ALL DATA is the program you want, but it is about $2500 a year.

but if your lucky, it may be available at your library to use for free, it is at mine.

this program has anything you want to know about all cars 1982 to present.

The most accurate information for repairing your car will come from the manufacturer that built it, rather than from a website or book vendor that gathered information from a variety of sources. Since I don't know the specific brand of car you are working on, I'll point you to a website that has links to repair information from all of the major auto manufacturers. I'm certain you'll find accurate information to troubleshoot your problem in an easy to understand format.

www.alldatadiy.com is exactly what you are looking for. I got this when I overhauled my A/C in my 94 grand am GT. It has all the exploded assembly views and sequential instructions straight from the shop manual, complete with all the factory design changes that occured during that model year. As you must know, Chiltons and Haynes are worthless - too generic and one of them won't even talk about A/C systems.

You can buy a one-year subscription for any US car for a reasonable price, then print out anything for reference while you are upside down under the car. Have fun - I did!

Price: about $25

first google for the specific car repair.
then you might try a parts dealer specific to the make.
I downloaded all the part assembly diagrams for my Hondas that way.
Toyota has a pay as you go site. you will need a little dnld experience to get all you can in the 24hours they give you for $10. Timing it right you can get almost 48 hours.
