The easiest way is too look in the fuse box and remove the one mark A/C. There are usually two fuse boxes, one under the driver's side dash and one under the hood. Many time the A/C fuse is located under the hood because it is a higher amperage fuse. This will prevent your A/C compressor from engaging but still allow the belt in your engine compartment to spin normally and fan to operate as usual.

Depending on the car and why you want it disconnected.
the fuse removal is easy, but if it has a dedicated belt you could take or cut that off. That will eliminate all its load from the engine.

Go to your fuse box and take out the fuse that says heat/ac and that will kill it. if not sure were fuse box is check owners manual and it will give you the location and fuse amperage. 10, 15, 20. one of those.

go under the hood and pull out the relay that is marked ac or the fuse will do the same thing.

easiest thing to do I would believe is just take out the fuse from the fuse box that way it wont run at all
