Car Makes - May 2007

I've driven a compact car for 3 years now and I am ready to move up to a full size sedan, however I have a limit to what I can spend. I was given the option to get a 2006 Hyundai Sonata at an extremely reasonable price. I've heard both good & bad things abt Hyundai, and I am not sure if this would be a smart buy. However it is a beautiful car. Please let me know of your views of this car. Thanks!

the cam is an edelbrock performer rpm cam and lifter kit w/.572 inch lift, it is hydralic flat tappet...and the intake is an Edelbrock performer series dual plane aluminum...the carb is an edelbrock performer series as well...650cfm.How much horsepower do you ESTIMATE the engine will have?(everything else is newer, valvetrain ect.)

There is no cable in the seath. The lead ball , at the latch end of the cable. Has come off the cable. I have removed the grill but see no way to access and pop the primary release. I've crawled under the car and see no way to pop the primary release from under the car. Now what?

My brother's 2000 Passat V6 model emblem fell off this morning. It's the emblem on the rear trunk door. Apparently, the glue might have worn off.

there is a button on the console above the gearshift. looks like is is supposed to light up but doesnt. also there is a wire coming from under the glove that is not hooked up. any ideas?

I have an accord 96 that has 100,000kms on it. had an oil change recently.

A few days after this oil change, I had an overheat and after this overheat, the oil pressure warning light started acting eratically.

First, after a cold start, the light does not turn on but after the engine warms up, the light flashes. The problem is, while revving the engine, the light goes off and immediately goes on again when the engine is idle.

To address my original problem, mechanics informed me that they would change the oil sending unit, change thermostat valve and thermostat switch.

After this, the problem was still the same (light goes off with revving). They recommended a general overhaul for the reason that the engine had so much sludge and they blamed the problem on the engine flush that was included during the change oil.

Now, i really dont know what to do next. General overhaul is too expensive for my budget.. Any tips?

Its a 2002, I just changed the battery in it. When I cranked it up, my radio said "LoC" still. It was on before I changed the battery, so I figured it was because the battery was drained. Now its still on. Can somebody tell me why??

I have a 2000 BMW 323Ci (coupe, not convertible) with the Harman Kardon stereo system upgrade.

In both doors the "upper" speakers are having problems, they're giving a "cracking" or "crackling" sound.

Basically I want to replace them but I can find very little after-market information on them.

Is it just one speaker in there or two? I've seen stuff online that leads me to believe there is both a 1" tweeter and 2.5" midrange in the same enclosure.

Where can I find the correct aftermarket replacement speakers that will match up with the HK system?

And where can I find system specs on them?

I have a 60 pontiac catalina.
Question #
1) Is a buick 403 motor compatable with this years stock transmision in the catalina?
2) which way should I turn the motor to try to break it from being froze?It was turning a little bit last winter but i had help and a breaker bar. . .now im on my own. . .
3)If the motor has a blown head gasket. .How much is it going to cost to fix by myself? I have another 59 pontiac catalina w/ a 389 cid motor
Could I take a parts off this one and change them on the other to fix the hole in the gasket?But i think this one has a blown head gasket also

Hi - just bought a 53 plate 3.0l Z4 and loving it except the lights were very poor so i ordered some new xenon bulbs from the internet.

The problem i have is that it is a nightmare to change the damb things with (i think) access through the wheel arches to the bulbs. Managed to change the foglight ok but the rest i have no idea.

Can anyone help me with a guide or link to enable myslef to get access to the main lights, high beams and sidelights?????
