Well yes they made a 230 and a 240 6cylinder back in the day, I have a 300 inline in my 1978 F250, Neither of these motors would fit in your Bronco II, You probably need a V-6 or such for your Bronco. The Inline 300 6 cylinder is one of the best motors Ford ever built in my opinion, Have had a few . . Good Luck with your Bronco!

The only 6 cyl. car motor in Chevrolet cars in 59 was the 235 cu. in 135 hp. motor. Chevy never made anything any different for trucks till 63 when the 230 in. 140 hp. seven main bearing motor came out.

More then likely a 235 but some of them did have 216's.

They used to have a 225ci 6 back then. They used that engine in a bunch of models. good luck.

sorry fordman , you are off by 10 , they were 235's , earlier ones were 216's
