Car Makes - May 2007

It might be the egr valve, but when I am accelerating slowly out of my parking lot, it seems to have little power. I have to hit the gas and hit about 5000 rpms to get it to open it up, and then it seems to drive fine. Any Ideas?

I replaced the the whole distributer cap assembly,the fuel filter, checked the computer, even replaced it with a computer that came off a working car(same year and model), I still can't get it to start,seems like it turns,and turns, the timing belt was changed,and it doesn't free spin as if it is gone, I can think of anything else.................

I have a year 1999 ford focus wagon, about 90,000 miles. When I went out to drive my car it felt like the brake was on, I took a look and one side of the front was lower then the other and when I reached back I could feel the suspension coil was directly on my wheel, I then found a single coil ring under the car that had rusted through. Any idea how much or what I have to do to fix this, or if this is a common problem, I just bought the car this year so this is pretty unbelievable.

Hello,
I am sure this is a very dumb question but I was just given a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee without the owners manual and need to know if I need to change the 4WD. The handle is in the all time 4WD position, but there are neutral and 4WD low positions, as well. Should the handle be in the neutral position since I do not need the 4WD at the moment? Thanks!

I get in my car lastnight, the low beams dont work. Brights work fine, parking lights are all that come on when lows should be. I changed the bulb in one, that wasnt the problem, checked the fuse, that wasnt the probelm. Any ideas? I am trying to avoid a mechanic, thought it might be a dimmer switch or something. Im currently driving a 2000 ford explorer with over 110000 miles on it. I was looking to trade it in for something with better gas mileage and hopfully around half the miles.
