I own a shop and do a lot of restoration work. If you will go to this website www.egge.com or call them at 866-996-3443.
They can either get you the part or can point you in the right direction to get a new synchro for your Olds. They carry a lot of obsolete parts for stuff as far back as 1900. I know they have saved me many times on the old stuff.

If ita a Saginaw 3speed check out a 36-39 Chevy, or Buick as this should be the same tranny. Hope this helps, Good Luck

Yes. go to this website. www.jalopyjournal.com/forum and join. Make sure you introduce yourself and be respectful, as a lot of these guys are a little testy. But you will be able to find anything about every classic american car.
