I'm in the market for a new car and am considering buying a Nissan Versa, which comes with CVT instead of automatic for its more equipped model. Every car I've ever had has been an automatic, as I am not able to drive manual transmission (I've tried, but no one has been patient enough to teach me.) I'm wondering if CVT has a learning curve or is it just like automatic transmission?

GF decided to was engine with the car..now it does not accelerate, also sometimes it wont evn crank at all, and when it starts it idles by itself the the needle goes up and down..and also the gears sometimes dont bite as in i have it in reverse and press the gas and it does not move.. all this problems after it was soaked..do i have to replace something or just wait till it dry...its been 3 days and it seem that it got worst..now car does not have any poer at all and i just bought batery 3 month ago??..helpp plss

I have a 1997 nissan sentra and the engine light turned on, Firestone said the code P0500 in the diagnostics revealed speed sensor replacement. is this a valid concern that needs to be done right away? They will charge me $158.00 for the labor and parts, is this within normal range to change speed sensors? I decided not to have them do the job just yet, the car seems to work ok so far, but I am just wary how long I should postpone the replacement. Is the speed sensors related to the cruise control features of the car, can I live without having the sensors changed? HELP!

I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota with a V8, 5.2L, 318 engine..I recently took it up to North Carolina from my home state Florida in march...I have 185K miles on it..Now I have NEVER had a problem with this truck, only a fuel pump and water pump..but that is regular maintance..But now..my truck doesnt want to shift on time..I am very intuned w my cars, I know at what RPM it shifts and what speed. But all of a sudden its sluggish around corners, its like it just hit a big gust of wind! it feels like i hit the brakes!! I get pushed forward all of a sudden then it shifts again! and the turn is not that big! and I only do it around 30mph..and also..it used to HAUL ***!! but now its like "oh..you want me to go?" and its soo aggravating..I want to change the trani fluid but im scared that if i do..all the gunk that is holdin it all to gether will come out and then for sure it will crap out on me! WHAT THE HELL DO I DO?? I took 4yrs of Auto in H.S. but I kinda slept through the chapter on Trani's..

My friend and I are researching possible ways to give this car some speed (not for street racing etc. It would all be legal).

It currently has a 2.8L v6 and everything is stock. If we were to switch out engines what would be the easiest, cheapest/ most efficient way to do so?

Back in the day I learnt how to drive a stick shift car (in the UK) but now I'm in the US and I've gotten lazy and drive an automatic. I'm really interested in buying a classic mini - how difficult are they to drive stick?

Please take into consideration that I live in LA and the traffic is HORRENDOUS!!! I really don't want one calf muscle bigger than the other! :)

I'm pretty sure that it is the rear driver side tire doing it. We have had to replace this rim before. When driving and the vibration starts I notice that the driver mirror is a little shaky but not the rear view or passenger mirror (that is why I think it is on the driver side) and it feels like it is coming from the rear.
Upon inspecting said rim I noticed a scratch kinda in the middle running around the bottom part of the inside (where I can see it) - kinda in line with my brakes. Just had the brakes replaced in November so I'm sure if it was there then someone would have mentioned it.
Any ideas?
