Im currently driving a 2000 ford explorer with over 110000 miles on it. I was looking to trade it in for something with better gas mileage and hopfully around half the miles. I found a 2002 Kia Rio with 57000 miles. I was wondering your experience with Kias...I have never known anyone to own one and so I need some advice. Thank you

That's a fag car. Seriously, you're going from a truck to a car that you have to wind up to get it to go? The new Kias are pretty good, 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. If you said Kia Sedona I could understand but a Rio????

I was a parts man in a kia dealership and even with their factory warranty they are probably the worst vehicles I've ever seen.
To get factory parts is a pain and crazy expensive.
If your choice is to buy a kia or ride the bus take the bus it's faster and cheaper.

I think they're crap.

A coworker's timing belt broke 23 miles after the warranty ran out - Kia didn't offer anything to help cover the cost.

Just some info, you can buy what you want.

In the US = 53% of cars sold are American made.

In Korea = 98% of cars sold in Korea are made in Korea

They are protecting their market, and trying to take ours too.

Help the American economy, and buy American.

Kia's also have low resale value. good luck either way, just wanted you to know the story.
