had problems with a relay switch on car and when i pulled one out it had a small amount of white creamy stuff on the contacts. Is this normal and could it be the reason it is faulty?

The white creamy stuff you see is lithium grease which keeps the contacts from getting corroded and is normal to find on electrical components...........Paul

Was the stuff wet or dry? If dry sounds like corrosion on the aluminium contacts of the relay, this happens if they old or have been exposed to the wet for sometime. Same applies if the gunge is wet (water not dried out) as well as other things. Is the car yours? has anyone put on maybe vaseline at some point to try to stop corrosion forming after they have cleaned the contacts up?
Anyway sound as if its the prob, clean it or bin it and get a new one shouldnt be expensive.

The gasoline pump might desire to be a handbook gasoline pump it truly is placed on the perfect area in case you're dealing with the motor that's down on the backside. in case you have a skid plate under your truck you're able to have better success in attending to the pump by using eliminating the plate..
