i own a 1998 chevy malibu i have a lot of smoke coming out of my exhaust!!! and my engine is just acting real noisy. i had a crack in the block because water was getting in but i think i feeled it, and flushed the oil and radiotor. it has a hard hit before it starts up . my question is any ideas why it hits hard before it starts? why there would be smoke?

My ZX2 has 52,000 miles on it and I've had it for almost 2 1/2 yrs and when I press on the gas to go to 45 or 55 it backfires and no one can tell me whats wrong. Its currently at a Ford Dealer where they have no clue whats wrong! Its not the coil, or transmission or oxygen sensor! Anyone ever have this problem??!! Thanks!!

I have a 97 dodge neon SOHC automatic. The motor is shaking and it is smoking. The smoke is white but when you drive it down the road it quits smoking. It smells like gas comming out of the exaust pipe. I have changed the plugs, plug wires, air filter, computer, coil pack, motor mounts, and checked the gas line. There is no water in the oil, and the motor runs good when you give it gas. I would like to know what could be causing this and how I could fix it. I do not waunt to sell the car. And please dont tell me that neons sux. I like the car and waunt to fix it. Thanks

ok i got a real irritating problem! i'm driving a Lreg 93 nissan micra 1.3 3door 16V twin cam (super s model) when i'm driving every so often my car jerks bad as if the fuel is out, when that happens the Revs also get stuck at 3k, wont go ova as if the air intake is blocked, it also feels like its an electronic problem but not sure? ive changed my rotary arm, spark plugs and leads, fuel filter, new battery and upgraded to a K&N induction kit to improve air flow but none of it has work so far! any help at all? PS would a nissan sunny 1.6 engine fit in a micra? n wud i need to up grade to abs brakes n gear? how much are we talkin£££?

i have a problem with my car the digital millage on my dash board sometimes cuts off numbers and flickers . the only time you can tell the current millage is when you first start the car up. i was told the might be a sensor thats causing it behind the dash board does anyone know what it is called and can i fix it my self. 2. i just had a ignition coil and motor mount repaired on my car but the engine still shakes. the mechanic said it is cause one of the threads on my head cylander is messed up but another mechanic put a heli coil so i thought it was ok is tat true? i also was told it would cost me 600 to get fixed is that true?

I had a Honda Accord 1999 EX 5 speed manual. I used the cruise control very often. Recently the cruise control was stop working. The light in the console was not light up when pushed in. I had checked the fuse box, but I don’t not know which one, so I stick my nose in there and smell them to see if any burnt up. I don’t smell any. I would be very appreciated if any expert could thoroughly describe what could go wrong and how to fix it. I would like at least arm with some knowledge before bringing my car to the shop/dealer. Thanks!
