My ZX2 has 52,000 miles on it and I've had it for almost 2 1/2 yrs and when I press on the gas to go to 45 or 55 it backfires and no one can tell me whats wrong. Its currently at a Ford Dealer where they have no clue whats wrong! Its not the coil, or transmission or oxygen sensor! Anyone ever have this problem??!! Thanks!!

Timing belt may have jumped a notch, have you changed the fuel filter? A stopped up filter can cause a lean condition and backfire as well as a Mass Air Flow sensor that is dirty.
