you didn't forget the rotor did you? check that you didn't ground out the wire to the points :(
I've had a bad coil wire, also pop the points manually and check for fire from the coil. then procede to the rotor, cap and wires.

Power to the coil, or the coil, or wires grounding in the distributor, might even be the iginition switch

Do you have power to the coil ??? Did you carefully check the distributor pig tail???

ign module take it to napa or advance auto auto zone they do free diag checks. that way your not spending money on cap rotor etc trying to buy part by part to fix problem..

check.....,power in to coil [positive term.]...., lead to distributor [negative term. ]........, point gap [ set point,s on high point of cam.] .0018 , try adding extra ground strap,s [ distributor housing to engine block,& engine block to fire wall.].......be sure your battery conection,s are clean & tight..........hope this help,s.........you didn,t forget your rotor.....did you?
