My 2002 did the same thing...turned out to be a dead glow plug AND the cam sensor was bad.

You have to take your vehicle to an auto store and get the computer scanned with an OBDII scanner. The scanner will tell you what needs to be fixed, and only the scanner can erase the code out of the computer.... not disconnecting the battery, or stomping on the gas pedal or turning the key on and off 5 times.... I've heard some ridiculous stuff..... LOL!!!

Go to auto zone for a free code read. Depends on the truck, could be a bad glow plug ( some models set codes for this ) or a high pressure oil problem, just some off the top thoughts. I would get it checked ASAP.

You have a problem. That's what the light is telling you...It can be shut off by disconnecting the battery. When you reconnect it it will come back on after a short time. It wont stay out until you repair the problem..
