I recently purchased a Pontiac G6 and I was looking for a good remote starter to install in the car. Where would I look to find a good one, or who has a g6 and remote start that works good. Thanks!

Do you have the factory Key Fob? ( the keyless entry control for your keychain? ) I thought that all G6's came facory equip with remote start. I own a 05 G6. and mine has it. If you dont have the key fob, you may just get to go to the dealer and buy a new one and have it reprogrammed

Heck yeah you should buy a Pontiac g6 Pontiac division of GM didn't quit making Pontiac's because their was something wrong with them cuz their is NOT the g6 was on of the best Pontiac's ever built and the only reason GM quit making Pontiac was so they could get the loan from the USA government and the Obama administration denied GMs first recovery plan that would of allowed them to keep Pontiac as a nitch brand and GM wouldn't sell the name Pontiac just like they wouldn't sell Oldsmobile name when they quit production and unlike what alot of people say GM will bring back Pontiac when their financially stable and. As of right now Pontiac is only being mothball GM will not put to rest a ledgen like Pontiac forever cuz pontiac is crediated to have started the muscle car era with the 1964 Pontiac gto LeMan's and GM will bring back Pontiac and yes you should buy a Pontiac g6 you wont regret it and what ever your u divide don't let people who hate on Pontiac influence what you decide Pontiac is one of the best brands ever built the didn't go out of business GM almost did not just the Pontiac division. So Pontiac would be still being made if it wasn't for the Obama administration Dening GMs first recovery/repayment plan there is NOTHING wrong with Pontiac's every car is going to experience some kind of trouble through its life so just don't let haters influence you theirs nothing wrong with Pontiac their just as good if not better than any car out their made and Pontiac is really reliable I have 98 Pontiac sunfire with around 176,000and a 2000 grandprix gtp with around 121,000and they both run like they were still new so everybody has a different story but I'm just trying to give you the facts Pontiac is a great brand and i would reccomend Pontiac cars to anybody and everybody and this for the comment a couple ahead of me in 2004 and after Pontiac division of GM didn't make a grandprix gtp. They only made bade modle grandprix and gt model. and grandprix gxp they did away with the gtp supercharger 3800 series motor and went with a gxp Turbo charged 3800 series motor. In the middle of the 2004 production year!

didn't your G6 come with a remote start??? most of them do
a dealer will not install an after market remote start. at lest not any that I have worked for GM warranty Will not cover any faults do to them so why would a dealer install one??
personally the only thing I would put one in is a dumpster they're nothing but head aces and as far as hacking them in there is no other way to install one if your cutting and splicing wires your hacking and that's what you need to do to install one

The car didn't come with remote start, and it didn't come pre-wired for remote start, either. Installing a remote start system will void your electrical warranty. We used to install them anyway, and about 50% had problems. I would advise against it.

However, if you still want to have it done, look for a stereo installation place near you. Most of them will also install alarms & remote systems.

Either have one put in by the dealer or a specialty place that installs stereos and alarms. Remember you have warranty on that vehicle so don't just let any hack splice into your wire harness.

I am a GM Tedchnician and would not recommend installing, they cause way to many problems and You will end up paying for problems caused by installing one!!

Go to the dealer. Best place for you to get what you need and have it installed the "right" way.
