Here goes:

Alternator used ($35) rebuilt ($75),
Couple hours of labor, although it is not a tough install. ($85-100)

New quality belt (Gates or Goodyear $6) while you are at it.

Total if you use a used one: $126 - 141
Total if you go rebuilt: $166 - 186

Only reason I suggest a used one is because I have had real good luck with factory Honda parts but had 'new' rebuilts that did not work out of the box.

At least if you buy from Autozone make them check the new one with their machine before you take it to the shop and have it installed.

Is that an alternator that tells you the altitude, too?

Check around your local auto repair and parts shops. The cost will be different if you live in New York City or in Kansas City.

around 120 to 150 for the alternator - probably about 100 for the labor

if you can buy the alternator at a parts store it will be much cheaper than through the honda dealer and have a backyard mechanic install it for you.
