I am trying to buy a truck, and I have narrowed down to two:
2003 Ford Ranger, 73K miles pretty standard (eg. no bed liner, no window tinting, no security key etc).
2002 Ford Ranger, 65k miles, slightly better accessories.
Price is exactly the same, the 03 is gray, the 02 is white.
I drive about 24k miles a year.
They both look as good, but I do know that the 03 has newer components, and the 02 has fewer miles.
In my shoes, which would YOU choose?

For example, a Camry hybrid or something similar. How do they drive? Is performance lacking?

Also, how does it impact the car's reliability and longevity? And are repairs complicated or expensive? Thanks for the insight.

Ford's and Mercury cars and trucks has a blower motor resistor to control the heat/ac fan speed. When the resistor is burned out, the fan will only work in high or not at all. The part is easy to replace, it's on the passenger side next to the blower motor. I don't need help finding it in the car or help with replacing it, I need to find a online store where I can buy one (two actually, two Ford's with same problem). Every store I check sells blower motors, but not the resistor. Even Motorcraft's website doesn't show it. The winning answer will be a url to an online store where I can buy this part. I think Taurus uses the same resistor, so those of you with the Taurus water leak problem may know the answer.

It is a 1999 Dodge Caravan and it is the kind where you just change the bulb and not the whole lens, bulb, and all. They are very dull and its almost to the point where it is dangerous to drive. The only reason i havent stopped her or tried to fix them is be cause 98% of the time she is home well before dark.

I have a very nice 5 year old for sale. I've had it listed for 3 weeks now and have lowered the price each week. It is now below book value. Moreover, it's a Toyota for crying out loud! The problem is, I have not even had people call about it and only one person look at it and offer me a ridiculously low price ( mean, insultingly low). What gives??

My dealer volunteered this information when I took my car in for 20K service. Stated that my tires were close to breaking my state safety limit and that I definitely needed the rotors replaced as well. Is this standard operating procedure or should I be wary?

I have a high milage car with a transmission that is slipping in between gears a little. Performance wise- Can someone please tell me the end difference between a power flush without a new screen/filter and a regular transmission oil change where they do put in a new screen? They both cost about the same ($130) So which one would be better for a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 170,000 miles and a 5.2 liter V-8. Thanks.

I was driving my 93 ford taurus just the other day when I had to stop to pick someone up, the car started fine when I went to pick this person up but in the 3 minutes it was off I couldn't get it to start again.

I added some coolant as it was very close to empty, and tried to jump start it, even with the jump start the car wouldn't even make a noise, absolutely nothing, no clicking no reving of the engine nothing.

At first I thought the battery must be very dead, but the car lights and radio work when I turn the ignition so it can't be that can it? Also I bought the car about 6 months ago and I have no idea how old the battery is, it looks empty on water.

Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem? I'm thinking it's the starter but I don't know how it could blow with no warning or anything.

What is the optimum spacing between catamaran hulls and how do you determine this?If the spacing is decreased from this distance then what is the effect on the amount of power required to drive the hull? Also, if the spacing is at optimum could I use a bow thruster effectively? Thankyou.
