There was a really bad rainstorm yesterday and I forgot that I had left my window down. My seat is still totally drenched. I tried to soak it up with towels, blow it with a leaf blower and use a wet/dry vac all to no avail. I was hoping it would evaporate but so far no luck. I'm sure it eventually will but I am sick of driving around sitting on a trash bag so my clothes don't get wet. I have to drive a lot so this is quite annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
And before anyone says anything about it, I am not leaving my window down ever again!!

Hi,
One of my family members recently hit a deer. They still owed money on the car. They sent it through to be worked on and got the bill. They have to pay it all up front. They do not have any where near the money to pay for it and they cannot get a loan because their credit is horrible. My question is, since they still owe money on it from the bank, what will happen when the person who fixes their car doesn't get paid?

I have a 2006 Honda Civic with 175k miles on it. We changed the timing belt at 90k, as the manual instructed. I'm wondering if it makes sense to change it at 180k or not.

The car is worth about $1200, and changing a timing belt in this car is costly ($600 - $900) because the engine has to be removed to do it. Seems like a lot of money to pay on a car that isn't worth very much to begin with.

This could explain the grinding/vibrating noise I hear when I accelearte. I've had this problem since this morning when I went to work. Mechanic also says my muffler belt broke too.

What are bushings? I'm pretty car savvy for a girl, but I've never heard of these before.

Hello
On my 1987 W124 200D (European Edition), the rear head-restraints do not drop anymore by pushing the button on central console. I have checked the relay under the floor behind the driver seat and it is working perfectly. There might be a problem with the vaccum supply. For the time being I have made them drop by pulling the the pneumatic actuators in the trunk under the head-rests but I would like to restore the original functionality.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks for your help.

I've been reading A lot of people's answers and anytime The answer/question pertains to stuntting you call them a Squid.

Just for a open question what is your defination of a squid?
Think about this question for those who call stunters squids including pro stunters.

My defination of a Squid= No lid, no jacket, riding his/her bike above their limits, stunting In Traffic, buying a 1K for the cool factor and having no clue how to ride it. Granny Clutching, Has no clue how to ride their bike to the fullest power, Thinks they are hard core cuz they can go 160mph in a straight away but are so quick to break around a corner.

Just want to to know what is YOUR definition of a squid.

My girlfriend and I and going on a 4 day royal carribean cruise to Mexico from So. Cal leaving 9/7/07. My friend is getting married on the ship. Yesterday, my g/f's car was broken into and her purse was stolen from under her seat. Luckily, I made her remove her birth certificate and social security card that she carried in her wallet (don't ask me why, I know it's really stupid. I had some kind of bad feeling a few days before that somehow it would get lost).

Going to Mexico doesn't require a passport until next year (if you are going by boat). We didn't bother to apply since you don't need one until 2008. Plus the passport office is really backed up. I've seen those "rush" passport services online though I've never used one. They seem really expensive. Any other suggestions?? She went to the DMV this morning to renew her license since it was coming due anyway. The lady said we "should" get it by next Friday but who knows especially with labor day approaching.

All you have to do is go around and find people who park in handicapped parking spaces yet walk inside on their own two feet.

If you park in a handicap space, you had better roll out of your vehicle in a wheel chair.

And, what's the deal with those rearview mirror tags. It's like saying - want the best parking but don't want to screw with a handicap symbol on your car all of the time? Just use this tag and whenever the urge strikes you use it!
