you are going to pay a premium price because you have a sports car for one, secondly, you have had a suspension for careless driving (speeding) and two accidents, that makes a huge difference as well regardless of what kind of vehicle you drive.

Your friend may have a high priced vehicle, but you do not state whether they have had tickets, accidents, or suspensions.

you also need to understand that you are driving a sports car, been in 2 accidents and your license was suspended for speeding, which means you are more at risk then someone who has had only 1 DUI.

My insurance is $1100 (give or take a little) for 6 months and I drive an 06 Civic SI, with a couple of tickets under my belt...so your premium seems about right.

The number of violations and suspensions drive the price up higher than the worth of the vehicle.
