With a computer and an rs232 cable you can set the mileage to any value you desire, unless your speedo has a ttl comm port in which case you use a commodore 64 or get a rs232 to ttl converter.

With the proper equipment, anything digital can be tampered with.

Even the backup is changed with another computer...
